Discovering Your Why

So, you’ve landed here—whether you’re actively seeking change in your life or just stumbled upon this blog, welcome! I’m genuinely thrilled that you’re taking the time to engage with this content.

Today, I want to discuss a crucial step in enhancing your life’s quality and longevity: finding your "why."

Why do you want to make changes or additions to your life? Is it to travel more with friends and family? To improve your overall health and potentially extend your lifespan? Maybe you want to alleviate symptoms of an existing condition or make sense of a list of recommendations from your doctor that you don’t quite understand. (Don’t worry, we’ll tackle that later.) Whatever your reason, I encourage you to write it down. Go ahead—I'll wait.

For me, my "why" has always been improving overall quality of life. After years of working as a professional nurse, I’ve seen firsthand the consequences of poor physical and mental health. Often, by the time patients seek help, the damage is already significant. It’s disheartening to realize that many didn’t make poor health choices intentionally but were instead hindered by a lack of education and support. I grew weary of the reactive approach to healthcare and decided to leverage my experience to educate and motivate others on their wellness journeys. This is why we’re here today—to help you uncover your own reason for pursuing a healthier life.

So, why is your "why" so important, and why did I ask you to write it down? This reason will serve as your anchor on days when old habits seem more appealing. The more connected you are to your "why," the more likely you are to stick with your goals. Remember, dedication often outweighs motivation.
